Hioki FT6041 Earth Tester
The FT6041 is Hioki's flagship earth tester for professional earthing system installation and maintenance. Designed for field use in all weather conditions, it is IP67 rated — fully dust tight and waterproof to 1 metre — and survives being dropped from 1 metre onto concrete. The 6-second measurement time and non-tangling cord reel system dramatically reduce the time required to complete multi-point earth resistance surveys.

Applications
Earthing system installation and verification, lightning protection earth testing, substation earth grid testing, telecom tower earthing, solar PV plant earthing verification and any application requiring reliable earth resistance measurement in the field. The 2-clamp method allows testing of each electrode in a multiple earthing system without disconnecting them.
Why Earth Testing Matters
Indian electrical regulations (IS 3043) require earth electrode resistance to be below specified values depending on the application. Regular earth resistance testing is mandatory for lightning protection systems, substation earths and industrial plant safety earths. An earth resistance that has drifted high due to soil drying, corrosion or poor installation is a serious safety risk.
